ru Vu received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984.

Tru Vu’s first job took him to California where he served as an system engineer for the F-14 software support team based at Pt. Mugu Naval Air Weapon Station. Feeling there’s more left to life than a job and a family, Mr. Vu followed his passion for art and left his secured position at Pt. Mugu to pursue a Master degree in Landscape Architecture. The Landscape Architecture program at Cal Poly Pomona was a rude awakening to our human’s ignorance of the environment’s efficient yet delicate balance as an ecosystem. The principles of sustainable living clash in many ways with our extravagance concept of beauty and rather than negotiating for the partnership of the two (a notion more complex than a tangled web), Mr. Vu opted for the next adventure. By pure chance, a short term project in the field of HIV health educator has turned into full time employment. This new found vigor as an educator lured Mr. Vu back to school to get a teaching credential. Following the successful completion of the credential program at the University of Texas at Austin and convinced that this is the right path, Mr. Vu continued to pursue a Master degree in education. Mr. Vu received a Master of Art in Education Technology from Cal Poly Pomona in 2004. Currently, Mr. Vu is a math teacher at Jordan High School, Long Beach, California.
