EFTP Scholars
The Summer Program in Hue and Vinh was a sound success. Accounting and English courses were held in both locations and approximately 1500 students were attending the program.
Ms Jennifer Van (EFTP Treasurer) and other members spent three weeks in Vietnam to foster the Summer Accounting & English Program.
Special thanks to our volunteers for their perseverance, diligence, and commitment to our Summer English Program.

- Please fill out and send back the application form if you are interested in becoming a volunteer for the 2012 Summer English Program. Volunteers are responsible for their round-trip airfare to Vietnam. Education For The Poor will take care of their food and lodging for the duration of the teaching assignment
ducation For The Poor is a group of young individuals dedicated to the advancement and well being of the
poor in Vietnam. We are a non-profit organization headquartered in Long Beach, California.
Our activities, in a nutshell, include:
- Promote students' learning by providing scholarship.
- Offer English conversation and pronunciation courses via our Summer Program.
- Research and write learning materials for our Summer Program.
- Launch English clubs in different cities to promote students' English proficiency.
- Build computer labs for students.
- Teach students to hold accountability for their work.
- Collaborate with religious leaders and educational activists.
- Offer short Accounting sessions during the summer to help students get better jobs with foreign companies.
